Went out with 3 school groups today.

was quite fruitful actually.

Met the St Andrews and ACS (Barker) guys to play lan at Dhoby Ghaut.

Its been a long time since we played.

We had over 30 people at the lan shop.

Was quite crazy actually.

Screaming, yelling and all sorts of nonsense.

Then we went to look for the Maris Stella guys at Kovan .

Had a great laugh together on how some of them bowled.

Met Pei Shan, Bing Rong and Wei Chao there too!

Never knew that Kovan was such a happening place.

Today, was family day.

Today, marks my grandma's 1 year death anniversary too.

Family gathering @ countryside was awesome.

Its been long since everyone came together to do so many crazy things.

Also because my youngest cousin has grown up and she is now able to hang out with us :)

so today with my cousins was like this,

- Lunch @ 1pm

- Went to the playground with EVERYONE. Today was cool because everyone went together. Usually, the older cousins would not come along.

- Walked the dog. HAHA.

- Went to a mini-mart.

- Tried to piece up a 1000 pieces puzzle, failed :) haha

- Went to the playground the 2nd time

- Guitar Hero-ed

- Went for Dinner @ 7pm

its just too much to talk about!

Still in church doing a recording with Joanne and Dexter for New Gen!
Okay, I believe that the KCPSS CD project will be good :) it better be. I can't wait to give it out to the secondary ones this coming Tuesday.
Its been 2 very long nights.Recorded ' Im yours 'and ' Viva la Vida '. We're in our 3rd song now!

What does it take to lead young people?
(well, this is something I have to think about before meeting Pastor Lia this Thursday)
I'm quite excited actually.

I never once had such a thought come across my mind.
I remembered, a few years back when Pastor Lia decided to start Zone F for the 13 to 16 year olds, none of us knew anything about leading young people. We do not have "ABCs on how to lead young people", "Steps 1 to 3 on leading a team" neither did we have weekly discipleship classes like what we have right now.

There was only 1 thing that I remembered so clearly up till now.
And that is,we knew that this generation and so on, has to be taken for God. It is either we make it or break it. It was pretty much a conviction we all had..Right up till now, we are still here doing the same thing week in and out. Some stayed but many left. We do get tired sometimes but I guess the first encounter and convictions that we all had with God made us stood strong. Still fresh and running.And I love what I am doing right now. Every single bit of it.

We crashed services, crashed many other things, get discipled then we learn.
Come to think of it, we were noobs in doing people work. HAHA.
But thank God for my leaders. We can learn from them and not make the same mistakes they made in the past.

I do not have any idea what kind of steps must we take or do to be able to lead young people. But I guess we need to have convictions in life. Many people would see teenagers as trash and useless people because we do not have alot of money.

It takes something out of you to see 'diamonds' in their lives. Unpolished and unshaped.
It takes something out of you to keep believing in them when they keep making the same mistakes over and over again.
I guess this is what it takes to lead young people.

Still growing, still counting, the future is amazing.

God was really amazing this afternoon!

F6 went down to Samuel's home to surprise him.

No one was home and the weather was a killer this afternoon.

We decided to continue waiting for 3 more minutes even after waiting for so long outside his home.

Decided to pray for a miracle to happen.

Just when we were about to leave his place, Samuel came out of the lift!

It must have been God man :)

He was shocked and amazed.

People like Wen Cong and Pris Tan couldn't believe what happened this afternoon.

Ask them if you really want to know what exactly happened. I'm not a very good storyteller esp on blogs.

Could still remember that smile that he had all over his face... :)

I've Gotta Feeling is playing on the Radio!

There will be 9 Maris Stella guys coming tomorrow for combined service. Really excited!

They ended their exams :)

The best thing I found out was that for the past 1 month when all of them were having exams, every single one of those guys were praying and incubating for all their friends.

I guess when you stay faithful to God, God will be faithful to you too..

This is the best thing that could ever happen, to see your friends come to church!

Daryl, Edmund, Aaron and Hang Siang are amazing.

Gosh, she is like the hot topic in class now.

Charleston came and sat in for CG.

Quite stressful actually. HAHA.

But it was good to know that everything was good.

Learnt many things during debrief too.

today was good :)

follow up with craymond was really funny! haha.

Had lunch a few days back with pastors.

Just had to blog about this although it was on Monday.

Didn't had the time to do it.

Pastors really understand and know us so well!

Even right to the type of food youths would love to eat.

They said that youths would rather fried you tiao with fish paste than compared to prawn.

And because of that, Pastors ordered another plate of those for us.

More than that, it was really a privilege to just spend time with them and share with them about life, people & ministry.

The best part was that you get hear what they've got to say about life.

Guess this was probably my first time sharing so much with them. Never shared so much before.

Monday was just different.

haven been sharing my thoughts with people for quite a long time.

not because im closed up or anything, haha..

Its just that certain things are not to be shared with the whole world except to pastors and leaders..

yea idk, Monday was just different :)

that was probably the highlight of this week.

I guess these are the little things that pastors do in life that captivates people.

I want to be just like them.

Zone F came down to church today to prepare for Pastor How's birthday :)

Can't wait for the celebration.

There were about 54 of them.

We're all V excited!

There was definitely team work and a little bit of war between some of us.

Those paints were hard to come off. HAHA.

Watched Orphan today!

We managed to get tickets without presenting all of our I/Cs. haha

Not all of them are 16!

They are a bunch of amazing girls.

The funniest was that they paid money to go in the theatre to cover their faces.

7/10 times they covered their faces.

hoGc is amazing. Just a sermon video by Pst How and it could still touch and impact lives.

It definitely did for me.

Im starting to miss Lynette and Jian Ming.

Zone F service felt different without them around.

Oh, and the drama team did an amazing job.

We had F21 with us.
It felt really different :)
Nothing beats spending more time in the presence of God. Was good.

Watched GI-Joe with F23.
It is a good movie. Haha
Was quite long though.

After Cg, Xiao Jiao decided that we should hang out and explore Bugis together.
Had dinner and we went to the arcade with Leona,Priscilla,Jordan,Marcus,Yili,Caleb,Xiao Jiao,Jessica and Melissa..
We had a hard time playing the candy machine.

Caleb spent $3.50 to get 4 sweets
While Jessica spent $2 and she got about 50 of them.
Haha. She says that it is an annointing from her sister. They're good at 'catching' games in the arcade..

Tomorrow is going to be good.

Woke up early today only to realise and remember that there isn't any service in the afternoon.
It feels weird not spending my time in church today.

Watched 'Angels and Demons' and 'Fireproof' in the morning with my family.

After that, headed down to meet nick,jordan,marcus,yili,justin and xiao jiao at changi airport to study.
We did the usual.
Brought Yili around the airport because it was his third time there. Travelled from T3 to T2 to T1 and back again.
Trust me, it was V funny.
This guy talks alot.

Met Dom and sent him off.
We're going to miss him.
It is going to be a DOMless week.

then, I went to look for lynette,charleston,ivan,sam,jianming, pam and many others to watch 'Public enemies'... It was good...
Believe it or not, this is my first time catching a NC16 movie :)

It was a long day :)
And marcus & yili were fined for eating in a train station. Haha.
I must say that they were very unlucky.

Bumped into my sec sch friend this afternoon.
Gosh, he look different.
remembered how we used to rule our class in sec 3 together with a group of friends
Man, it rocks.

We sprayed paint on the school wall and had to paint it white again.
We cleaned our classroom using the firehose and a whole bottle of JIF & magic clean! We got all of our textbooks, workbooks and worksheets wet!
We mixed all sorts of solutions and chemicals together during chemistry class praying that there will be an explosion. Wanted to show our teacher how ordinary people were made rocket scientist. Aww, so much of chemistry with one another.
We threw a big black rubbish bin down from the highest level during chinese class when we found out that our teacher failed our chinese paper. Causing us to be listed into a 'Chinese B' class. But God is good. I didnt take chinese B in the end.
We poured oil onto the stove and turn on the gas during home econs. My goodness. It was the biggest mistake we ever made. Hahaha.

We were our principal's friend.
The DM was our best friend.
Aww, sec school rocks :)

I pray that some day, they will get to know God and become a Christian.

Doctor actually suspected that I might be suffering from Hand Foot and Mouth.

Have been worshipping alot with my guitar. Its the BEST.

For many years, I always had the secret desire to play the guitar during CG.

Okay, maybe some day I will.

But definitely not now. haha :)

Heroes, were made heroes because of the choices they made, not so much of the abilities they have.

Making right decisions and choices in life is so important.

Every single decision you make today will determine where you will be heading tomorrow.

Isn't it scary?

Just one bad decision/choice, you might find yourself back at square one again.

A few days back, Pst How had a short 3 mins conversation with me.

He asked me about my life and how I was coping in church (CG leading, preaching etc.)

Then, he asked a rather interesting question.

He said, "So Cheryl, will you continue doing people work and leading zone F the rest of your life?"

Up till today, this question rings in my head.

See, it is one thing to lead Zone F.

But it is another, to say that you want to be leading it the rest of your life.

God has broken us a thousand times, we have wept

God has repeatedly sent his steamroller over us, but he has never left us on the ground.

This is what we are fighting and living for

Now, we still need to decide :)

The whole of F4 and F23 have been quarantined today till Friday.
4 days without church. This is so bad.
Staying home is like the last thing anyone would do.
I can't believe it. I have so much time now.

On the other hand,I think this is the best time to do some good reading, praying and worship :)

Now, i really can't wait.

Watched Harry Potter yesterday together with the CG.
it was quite funny because we realised that none of us really understood the movie.
45 mins into the movie and we were hoping that it will end soon.

We are living the dream of many others.
Friday was pretty much a history making moment for hoGc.

To those who left us, you've seriously missed out alot.
As for those who remained and stood strong in your convictions, you have no idea what you've gotten yourselves into..

Feel really proud being part of hoGc and especially when I get to build this church with my relatives and cousins, the youngest being only 4 years old :)

Seems like we're running a family business...see, not every family get a chance to experience this...

Last week was a milestone for our church.
It made me treasure and appreciate our pastors and church even more.

Pastor Joakim's schools seminar was AWESOME.
twas my second time listening to the OTHERS sermon, but it gets better every year :)
felt like that was a lift in atmosphere.

Those guys are back in school hitting their books now.
Spent the whole of June hols with those great people building the church and zone F.
miss them now.
The feeling of not seeing them today, feels weird. haha.
There is so much more purpose to go back to school now, apart from doing those usual routine.

Red Rain Concert was rocking-ly-awesome.
and, the best thing is that many of the integrations and new friends are coming back this week :)
hoGc will breakthrough :)

After the concert, there was a hang out session. AND, it was good. It was quite hard to move around because there were just toooo many people.

we left to play CS with the St Andrews guys. And SA hit an all time high record of 34 people for RR. Everyone had a great time. They did crowd surfing (which they eventually got into trouble with the securities) HAHA.

We had so much fun playing CS.
Yili was my best team mate because he screens,just like me :) I love screening Joel. haha i hope he doesn't see this.

life has been GREAT :)
RED RAIN is in 2 days time! Can't wait.
the ops team is amazing. Stage, lights, effect setup and everything looks really cool.

Having my hols now till end of August and im loving it.
Time to grow the church, zone and myself :)
Its really cool because Wei Ling is having her hols till Aug. And its the best time to really chiong and grow Zone F together.

Have been meeting alot of the school groups and spending time with them.
Had a great time together praying and eating.

We had a sermon screening by Bill Wilson. Everyone was inspired.

Was just reading Kevin Low's blog..AND,this was how we actually met each other 2 years ago, 7 April 2007. Time flies. HAHA

Hey heys people,

Genghis invited me to his church yesterday for the Easter service and it was a blast. The church is called Heart of GOD church and the service there is great. Before going to the church, we met C4 met at Dohby Ghaut (pardon my spelling) MRT station. The people there are so friendly. Genghis introduced me to his group members and they were very friendly. When I talked to them, they kept saying,"You sound like Cheryl!" Then there were these two nice girls Ruoen and Eeru (nickname) who brought me around and introduced me to more people. When ever they introduced me, the people would say,"You sound like Cheryl!"

Then I would say "Who is Cheryl?!" Everyone would laugh.
Then, we left for the church. On the way Eeru was chatting with me. A few minutes later, we reached the church. When we sang we sang with so much passion, people jumping up and down, clapping and stuff like that. After singing we had testimonials of people who had been touched by Jesus. Then the pastor told us about how Jesus died. Then after communion the service ended but we still stayed there. Eeru went through we me the basics of christianity. After that, I met Cheryl. We realised that we spoke acted and looked like each other. Which is kind of odd since she's 4 years my senior.Later, we went as a group of about 100 people to Clark Quay to eat dinner. We went to the foodcourt bought the food and went to the riverside to eat.

it is amazing to see how people get to know God and us..
all of us have a story to tell.

If people were to go against my friends for some reasons, I would stand up for them and cover those gaps when they are not around.

I still trust them even when it seems like they are being irresponsible during some situations/problems.I believe that they are mature enough to make their own decisions.
I will stand by them and not conform to what others think or say because I trust them.

A strong relationship is formed, when there is trust. Not politics.

Was just packing my room and I need to talk about this powerful box of things that I kept ever since I was promoted from Teens Cell to the Youth ministry.
HAHA back then,being promoted to the Youth Ministry was something that all of us look forward to.

I keep almost every single card, gift and weird stuff that my friends in church gave me in this box! From Henderson days, up till now!

Inside this box, there were 16 notebooks that I used to write Pastor's sermon notes. It was cool looking at some of the weird things I did during services.HAHA
I had drawings and messages written to one particular friend I had, during services :)

These were the cards I received ever since Henderson Days.That was about 5 years ago.
Christmas, Birthday and all sorts of cards.

This was my first birthday gift from my CG when I was in Zone C.

Xin Jie made this and inside this box were birthday wishes from my CG and many other random people. Back then, she was just an integration :)

Zone F Chalet was AWESOME :)

we had loads of fun.

Stayed over on Sunday with the H2H people and we had BBQ all 3 nights.

I was out, 4 Days and 3 Nights.

I'll let the photos do the talking..

We left church at 12.45pm, took a train and brought mops and stuff over to the chalet.

then, we realised that we were this close to OLD CHANGI HOSPITAL..
haha this made our nights even more interesting :)

My week has been great so far,can't wait for the weekends :)
my thoughts are everywhere in this post.haha.

Many people say that friendships are important especially when it comes to building the church together. They would say that people need a best friend to run this Christian race with and all. Then, they end up doing it because of their friends.You know la..
But I feel that it is personal convictions that will make them want to stay and build this church together with pastors, their leaders and friends.

see, I never really had a best friend to run this race with. haha
I love what im doing now because work has now become my 'play and fun' therefore I never really thought of finding a best friend to make my 'work' fun and enjoyable.
so now, I really wonder if these people are doing it for their friends or is it because of what they were convicted by.

Convictions are things that our leaders can't 'give' us. They can inspire us with their convictions but at the end of the day, we can't live according to their convictions.
It has to be something personal.

People go through different stages/phases in life. When reality hits them, they start to realise that they have grown up and things/friends around them are now looking for a new purpose and meaning in life. Now, church is no longer important to them. Someone without convictions will compare themselves with their friends and will have dreams of doing well in the working world.
To them, coming and serving in church would become secondary.

I guess we all have choices in life and we need to decide for ourselves.

I guess it was a sermon for many of us, especially the leaders.

I love what i'm doing now.
I love God and I love my life.
It is just so hard to not love what i'm doing now. haha.

2009 is THE YEAR.
and it will always remain like this even if everything around me changes.

when things were getting into place, we get excited, forgetting that it was God all these while doing the miracles.
God is greater and things around us cannot get into place that easily without Him.We all need to go through tests and seasons in life.
It is only during these times that we will start to realise that we need to be God dependent.

but it is all good. good for us :)

Presentation was good yesterday (:

School ended at 11:20pm. Groups took nearly 30 mins each, to do their presentation.

we were the 2nd last grp. So we waited, waited and waited. The bad thing was that we were not allowed to talk at all from the start till the end.

While waiting for our turn, we kept writing nonsense-crappy notes to each other and val tock's deepest darkest secret was finally revealed.

a few days back, I met Pst Lia in the toilet and she said something really powerful.
although it was just a 1 min conversation, it really hit something into my heart.

People go through different seasons/stages in life.
Whether they make it or not, they'll have to decide.
Whether to still trust in God or not, they'll still have to decide.
It is also during these seasons where people around them grow stronger and united, standing strong in their convictions and not get affected by what others think.

HEART FEST 09' was a BLAST :)
indescribable feelings.

All our effort was worth the number of decisions and salvations.
It was fun working with everyone the night before and being there for our leaders when they needed help.
Everything and anything that was seen lying on the floor, can be a source of entertainment to us. with Nick, jordan, leona and marcus around, all things are possible.

Everyone did what they were suppose to do, helped one another. I guess teamwork plus noni's motivational 5 mins talk @ 4.30am, was the reason why we could finish everything at 5am, wake up the next morning at 7am and run Heartfest 09'.

esther heng and I found another 'talent' in noni. This would be reason #4, why we should treasure and feel proud having him as a friend for 12 years. haha. okay, kidddding. Think he is gg to kill me if he reads this.

So, lets talk about the 'not so fun' part of the preparations.

1) I stole half a container of meal worms from my father when he was asleep. When I reached church, to my horror, some of the worms were out from the container, in my bag. YUCKS! My dad found out and we had a rather interesting conversation.
Dad: Ehh, my worms, why so little? you feed the birds?
Me: Actually, i took some from you.
Dad: huh? for what?
Me: For heartfest.
Dad: hahah chey! i thought it ran away.
Me: -.-!!

2) I can't paint and design. So, thank God for Esther Heng.
3) Preparing 5K water bombs is really a test of our faith. HAHA
4) Transporting the water bombs down to level 1 is another test of faith.
5) Joanne helped with the balloons. haha it was HILARIOUS. she burst some of them accidentally.
6) I read the floor plan wrongly. HAHA. 'ping pong piang', 'ready,aim, fire!' and 'House of hoops' was suppose to be at the other side of the auditorium. HAHA.

it was great.

Had a really funny competition and conversation over MSN with Lim jia xin earlier on.
competed to see who could bathe the fastest.
Obviously, she won because im cleaner. HAHA.
okay, actually, we were trying to motivate each other to bathe then get back to work.

I had a great week.
It was just different from the rest. idk why.
Everything seemed like it was moving twice the speed, but i loved it.
My nights were different.
Had many thoughts about people,things and stuff. Some which really bothered me.

Had a great weekend :)

Zone F service was v good.
Elevate did a great job. It was an outing that we will definitely remember.
Charleston preached a powerful sermon on Sunday about not living a convenient Christian life.
It spoke right into my heart :)

stayed over in church last night together with many pple so that we will not be late for CHC powerhouse. HAHA.
Woke up at 5am today.
"Shut up and let me go..HEY!" was the line that made xin jie and i so alive. haha.
I was given the opportunity to run external traffic with Ming han. It was really a good experience.
stressful, but good. Learnt alot.
especially when you have to decide how many people to release from the queue to go up.

And, i had a really bad experience estimating the crowd flow. When i thought that there were 300 people, brother chui told me that there were only about 200-230 pple. HAHA.
Samantha, Noni and Ming han just kept laughing and laughing whenever i report the numbers to Jianming/shanny.
now i learnt. so, thats that.

school was good today.teacher was really nice.
She gave all of us a 15 mins break to get some duck rice downstairs.
rushed, rushed, rushed..HAHA..
second day of school and we are into our first project.
teamed up with Charleston,Lynette,Val tock and Darryl. guess it'll be good.
we are suppose to do up a business plan for 'our business'. HAHA.

school was r different today. still tryin' to get use to it after 2 mths of hols.

Nick luo is just so irritating.HAHA. before class even started, he dropped me an sms to remind me that my school is starting. i guess he was just trying to irritate me. C' we used to have conversations like this, when i was having my hols.
Nick: wah sian, got school tomorrow. ARGHHH
Cheryl: haha, aiyo so sad, whats school man??
Guess, he was tryin' to irritate me now.

had orientation 1 hour before class to welcome new classmates like pamela,gabriel,valerie,daryl and more.
played the "4 facts about yourself" game. we had to write down 4 facts about ourselves on paper and the opposite team will have to guess who that person is.

t'was really hilarious to know that Joanne has a wisdom mole.
see, there are only 2 types of moles. Big or small. wisdom mole?haha. no idea whats that.
shes really funny. maybe that 'wisdom mole', gives her wisdom. haha okay, i think she'll kill me if she reads this.

Met our new lecturer, pamela wigglesworth.
(she is not related to smith wigglesworth)
shes really funny. val tock, pei shan and i were just so amazed by her.
her jokes were of a certain standard man. no kid.

thats school for me :)

first day of school for JT didnt turn out good.
he dislocated his shoulder while playing some games during orientation.
could feel the pain when he told me about it.

walking around my neighbourhood at 8pm today felt really different from those 1am walks that I would usually have, on my way home

you get to hear children screaming and yelling
see aunties sitting at the void deck having their usual talks and 'pouring hearts out' sessions.
uncles sitting around at the coffee shop drinking and all.
NSKs at the playground playing their usual techno music.
it was quite an amazing sight. I'm beginning to love my unique neighbourhood.

haha okay, i shall not get deep into that. It feels like i'm writting a primary school composition already.

Had an awesome outing with some of the zone f pple at minds cafe earlier this afternoon.
it was a crazy-to-the-max 5 hour session.
The girls screamed and screamed and screamed while playing. Imagine having 10 girls playing LEFT4DEAD, this was worst. Pris Tan beat us all. She was the loudest. haha
Dom, Jianming, Chunkit, Leona played "strategy" games. So they didnt make much noise. it was good.
On the other side of the room, Ivan, wayne, Jt, Jordan kept using 'words' like, chui, snook and all sorts of stuff. haha. SUPER FUNNY.

really crazy. Everyone screamed and screamed.
then,i accidentally ended a game by slamming a pillow on the table. oh man.
a good and fun game turned bad. i was too excited la.crappp.
I guess we left a deep and hopefully, a good impression of ourselves at minds cafe.HAHA

school is starting tomorrow and i'm looking forward to it.

sometimes, we just need to have faith and believe in God in everything we do.
sometimes, you may feel that the specific task/job given to you is not something that you will want to do. Or maybe, you are placed in a situation where your parents are totally against what you are doing. Especially when reality suddenly hits you. Its either you make it or break it. CNY was awesome :)
spent most of my time with my tribe/clan/family,whatsoever and it was good. HAHA

played L4D almost everyday with the usual group of chiongsters.
crazy. I need to fast from it. too much for the teenage soul. HAHA.
today was good.

Had a revelation while doing follow up. beautiful.
Nick and I were awesomely-captivated.

Looking forward to service this saturday.
I'm missing it.

Had an awesome CG meeting with F20,F23 and F24 :) it was soooo good.
Incubation, Invitation, Integration.

Went to play Left 4 Dead after CG. man, it was hilarious.
Yi Jing, Priscilla and Pamela just screamed and screamed and screamed.
I guess it was something new to them. haha. Welcome to our CG :)

Wayne and I were suppose to have a meeting with Ivan.But, we ended up having Round #2 of Left 4 Dead.
So much fun. Plain fun. Screamed and screamed again.
This time round, I teamed up with Nick, JT and Wayne.

Nick : " ehh, lets go back to get more ELMO "
(it was suppose to be ammo, guess he was too excited)
Cheryl: " JT, save me, save me..argghh "
Wayne: " wah, i'm LALA "

HAHA. it was crap man.
everyone just spoke nonsense during the game.

Went for my sec sch friend's birthday party yesterday :) it was really cool to see all my friends after 1 year.
haha i guess it was a good get-together session.
some had really long hair,some grew taller while some still looked the same.

Sat at a corner and we started to talk about how we did all sorts of crazy stuff together and getting ourselves into trouble. HAHA. it was really dumb but hilarious.
I still remembered spraying paints on the wall, getting caught and had to paint the wall white to cover up the mess we made.
Used the water hose to spray the whole class room during CIP. It was the fastest way to clean our classroom. But of course, we paid a very "EXPENSIVE" price after the fun we had.
Recorded people snoring while they were asleep during camp. It was crazy. We started laughing very loud and got everyone into trouble.
Hearing jokes from teachers being racist against their own race. Oh man.

Monday blues were common amoung the group of us.
Therefore, we had no choice but to make going to school very fun.

Then, we came to a conclusion.
There are 2 types of teachers in the world,
1) Against you
2) With you

We concluded that our teachers were WITH US because most of the time, our Discipline Master was with us. He has the last say. haha. Sometimes, he had to punish us because it was according to the book.
He was our friend :)

RED CLIFF 2 is a nice movie. watched it a few days ago.
Tried really hard to understand the movie. But thank God for English subtitles and friends around you who understand chinese! haha :)

great weekend, great service :)
Pastor Lia preached about BGR and it was awesome.
Love it.

went bowling after service together with Pastor Lia and the zone F leaders.
Pastor Lia was seriously good in bowling. HAHA.
It was cool being in the same team as her. She scored the highest in both rounds.
Joanne had strikes almost all the time.
Wayne was really cool and funny in the way he handled the ball.Blame it on those muscles man.
Chunkit was too good, so lets not talk about him. haha
Both Jia xin and I had one common goal- to beat wayne in every single round.
AND, we did it! :)
In life, it is never about how well you start. But it is how well you end it.

2009, is THE YEAR.
This is my team and I love them.

Had a powerful and inspiring meeting with Pastor Lia yesterday till 4 am.
it was sooo..good
Brainstormed all the processes and everything that we need to do,to build a great lower secondary ministry (Zone F) in church.
It was indeed the 'Manual to change the world'. HAHA i'm really excited.

More than that, I got to see how my leaders like Dominic, Lynette, Ivan and Jian Ming think and work. It was a privilege to be able to be part of this meeting.
I'm amazed and inspired by how Pastor Lia thinks. She talked about things like how the new generation of leaders like Jia Xin, Wayne, Chun kit and myself should take over zone F one day and run it together on our own. And the older batch of leaders will continue building more Zone Fs in church.It was inspiring.
Like seriously, I never had such a thought before. really.

I just found out on CNA that O levels results are coming out this Monday, 12 Jan.
HAHA. i remembered the feeling of not knowing the results you will get. That anticipated and long-awaited feeling. piangxXxx.
Oh well, Zone F is getting old. There will be JC/Poly students in Zone F starting this year.

Read many reports on what schools are planning to do to reach out to the Secondary ones!The school that impressed Alastair and I the most was Hougang Secondary School. They are really a bunch of radical Christians. They actually planned to give out Gummy bears in hand-made wrappers together with notes attached to it.
They started this project way before Alastair actually met them. AWESOME.

I'm really excited for Heart Fest 09' .
Bring a Secondary one :) reach out to them!
